Fargo

Fargo (1996) contains no progressive political messaging, social justice themes, identity politics, or diversity/inclusion priorities. It's a Coen Brothers dark comedy about a botched kidnapping driven by greed and incompetence. The pregnant female police chief Marge Gunderson is a capable, folksy protagonist, but her role enhances character-driven storytelling, not ideological agendas. Midwestern satire targets human folly, not politics.
